Position 4

Front
  1. This is the impact position.  Your hips continue to uncoil and now your weight should be 80% on your left foot – you should feel your weight more towards your outside, left heel.  The 20% of your weight still on your right side should be on the inside and ball of your right foot.  Your right foot almost rolls toward your target.  Your right heel should be no more than 3 inches off the ground.

  2. Your elbows remain the same distance apart as they were at the setup.

  3. Your head is still positioned behind the ball.  You will notice that the line drawn on the screen shows that the spine angle goes right down your left leg.

  4. Your wrists should uncock into the impact position, your right arm is still tucked into your right side and your left arm is straight down to the ball.

  5. Your hands should be even with the club head – they should not be behind the club head or in front of the club head.

Side

  1. The back of your left hand should point directly at your target – the ball will go where the back of your left head is aimed at impact.

  2. Your hips have rotated open, but your shoulders are square to your target.

  3. Your head is still behind the ball.

  4. Attack the golf ball from the inside.  The path of the golf swing is you come into the ball from the inside, go down the target line and then back to the inside.  The proper swing path is inside to inside - not inside out or outside in.

  5. The spine angle still remains the same.
